Bruno Fernandes was offered a huge deal to join Al-Hilal in the summer and the Manchester United captain is now reportedly being lined up for another move to Saudi Arabia

Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has once again been linked with a stunning switch to Saudi Arabia.

The midfielder turned down a massive offer from Al-Hilal earlier this summer after they tabled a lucrative deal. Fernandes, 30, was reportedly weighing up a move away from United to the Saudi Pro League.

Following the Europa League loss to Tottenham, the Portugal star suggested he would depart if the club desired his exit. Nevertheless, after family discussions, Fernandes chose to remain at United and snubbed the proposal.

"Manchester United said they didn't want to sell me," he revealed in June. "They said if I wanted to go I could, but they didn't need the money. I spoke to coach Ruben Amorim who, throughout that period, he was pushing for me not to go."

Despite expressing his desire to compete at the "highest possible level", Fernandes did acknowledge a Saudi switch would be "easy" given the number of Portuguese stars currently playing there.

Now, Portuguese outlet A Bola reports that Al-Nassr are mulling over a blockbuster swoop, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The report claims the club are contemplating submitting an offer, with new manager Jorge Jesus - who handed Fernandes his Sporting CP debut in 2017 - keen to unite him with the existing Portuguese contingent at Al-Awwal Park alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix and Otavia.

Having previously turned down a move to the Middle East and affirmed his desire to play at the highest level, it's unlikely that Fernandes will be making a move this summer.

However, the lucrative offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia have caught the attention of some of the world's top players.

United have several players up for sale this window, with Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony all expected to be sold.

With just two weeks until the start of the Premier League season, it would take a sensational deal for United and Fernandes to consider the move.
