Erik ten Hag was called out by Manchester United legend Roy Keane after being spotted dancing with Lisandro Martinez and Antony after the Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle

Roy Keane jokingly told Erik ten Hag “you should resign” after the Manchester United manager danced with his players following their Carabao Cup final victory.

The Red Devils ended a six-year trophy drought with a 2-0 win over Newcastle at Wembley on Sunday evening. Casemiro’s header opened the scoring 33 minutes in before Marcus Rashford’s strike deflected in off Sven Botman six minutes later.

There were jubilant scenes after the final whistle as United’s stars lifted the trophy - their first of the Ten Hag era. And the Dutchman couldn’t hold back his joy as he celebrated pitch-side.

Cameras caught Ten Hag dancing with Lisandro Martinez and winger Antony in the same manner they had done back at Ajax the previous season.

Keane, who infamously slammed Brazil’s dancing celebrations at the World Cup, was quick to joke about Ten Hag’s dance moves, saying: “The lads having a bit of a dance there, my goodness. Not bad actually to be fair.”

Do you think Erik ten Hag will bring Premier League glory back to Man Utd? Let us know in the comments section.

Ex-United skipper and legend Keane then had the opportunity to chat to Ten Hag directly about his wacky dance moves when he joined the Sky Sports punditry team to discuss the game.

Mark Chapman asked Ten Hag if there would be “any more dancing tonight?” before Keane interjected with: “You should resign after that! You should resign tonight!”

Ten Hag and the Sky Sports crew all laughed at the Irishman’s comments, before the manager added: “Never. We have a history with that [dance]. We hope we can do it again.”

It capped off a dominant display from the Red Devils as the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and owner Avram Glazer were in attendance to witness the occasion.
