Evil Brit crime gangs targeting kids with drug-laced Haribo-style sweet packets
EXCLUSIVE: The Daily Star Sunday has uncovered terrifying evidence that British children are the new target of choice for evil gangs looking to peddle drugs across the country
Evil crime gangs are targeting kids with cannabis-laced gummies, a Daily Star Sunday investigation can reveal.
Dealers are packaging the sweets in bags similar to Haribos, Skittles, Nerds and Sours.
They are sold to youngsters on Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat and encrypted apps like Telegram.
After a string of pupils, including an eight-year-old, were hospitalised, Northamptonshire Police sent a warning to parents.
It said: “We are aware of the concerns raised recently re. Edible Drugs and this being promoted on some social media platforms.”
Officers in the east of England said a third of people arrested in relation to the edibles are under the age of 18.
And we found scores of social media sellers flogging them in the UK.
One offers “Big Chief Gummies Sourz” containing 500mg of THC – the chemical that gives users a high. Also on the dealer’s list was “Wonka Edibles”.

We also discovered a dealer on Snapchat with a list of edibles, including Banana Bombs, Trolli Sour Brite Blasts and Haribo Happy Cola. Prices ranged from £10 for 100mg doses to £27 for 600mg.
Tik Tok, Snapchat and Instagram say they have strict policies prohibiting the buying or selling of any drugs, including sweets containing THC.
The popular brand names have no connection to the drugged sweets.
