Ex-Premier League ace's wife's new photo has fans baffled as they slam 'hoax'
A former Premier League ace’s wife has left her fans bemused as users slammed her as ‘fake’ in her new photos announcing major news
Diletta Leotta has been slammed by baffled fans as being “fake” following her two latest Instagram uploads.
The stunning DAZN presenter, 34, who is the better half of Liverpool flop Loris Karius, 32, announced on social media that she is pregnant, expecting her second child. Diletta shared the news on Instagram, posing next to Karius and their daughter Aria, who both had their hand on her tummy.
She added the heart-warming caption: “This Christmas we couldn’t wish for a more beautiful gift. Aria is becoming a big sister, and our hearts are ready to love twice as much.”
Fans took to her comments section to congratulate her on the news. One user said: “I’m so happy, congratulations.” A second wrote: “How beautiful.” While another lauded: “Congratulations, you are WONDERFUL.”
Despite the happy news, fans hit out at Diletta’s Instagram feed, calling her out as “fake”. Just one day before, the DAZN presenter posted a collection of pictures, supposedly from last weekend, with no baby bump in sight.
Diletta captioned her post: “A weekend full of everything I love.” And had pictures of her wearing a figure-hugging lilac dress and working out in the gym, without a bun in the oven obvious to see.
One user fumed: “How fake are they on social media???? It's all a hoax... one day flat tummy the next day pic with tummy... How can one be so stupid???”
A second user replied: “I noticed this too... but how do they do it”. While a third labelled Diletta “unbearable.”
Another bemused follower posed: “Impossible pics from this weekends, seeing as she has now posted baby bump pics.” A fifth questioned: “And where did the belly go?”
Karius didn't avoid the flak either, as another comment quipped at the goalkeeper's expense: "Please be careful when you carry the baby Loris."
Diletta is no stranger to rubbing her followers up the wrong way with her posts. Earlier this year, she sparked outrage when he wore a see-through dress to her young daughter’s birthday.
She spoke out defending herself and her outfit choice to La Gazzetta dello Sport, saying: Of course I feel it [people being obsessed with aesthetics]. But I feel part of a shift in the perception of women as presenters and journalists, which I think is finally taking hold.”
Diletta added: “It's clear that image is part of our job, especially for those in television, but if you turn out to be a container without substance, you won't get very far.”
“Even today, I study, I prepare, I try to stay up to date: that's the key. Also, a nice dress is a pleasure to wear; being well-groomed, pretty, and pleasant to look at, I think, is also a matter of respect for the viewer, but I think that applies in any work environment.”
