Jay Slater investigator hints at new theory as fresh search for missing teen begins

A TV investigator has revealed he has information and a new theory about the teen's disappearance which includes information that is "not in the public domain".
Mark Williams-Thomas, a former police officer who helped snare Jimmy Savile, is in Tenerife helping search for the 19-year-old and said he has briefed the teen's family on his "evidence based theory".
The sleuth's revelation comes as a large-scale search of rough terrain for Jay, who went missing 12 days ago, begins today (Saturday, June 29) after Spanish police put out a call for volunteers to help.
Mark said: "I provided the family last night with a detailed account of our investigation , which includes information not in the public domain , and our current evidence based working theory."
The investigator earlier this week said he wants to speak to two 'key" witnesses who are back in the UK.
He said in a press conference: "The family have provided me with an in-depth insight into what has happened in the hours leading up to his disappearance.
"I have, to date, not been able to speak to a large group of witnesses. But there are two key people to date that I have not spoken to.
"These are the two men that took Jay back to the holiday rental in the hills. Those two men have spoken to the police and they are now back in the UK."
Mark joined the search for Lancashire teen who was reported missing a week ago (June 17) after he called his friend Lucy and told her he was lost in a rural area of the island with only 1% battery left on his phone.
On Friday the Guardia Civil formally invited voluntary organisations and members of the public with expertise in difficult conditions to come to northern Tenerife.
The police co-ordinated large-scale search of Rural de Teno national parkwith volunteers started at 9am today .
Search teams are scouring ravines and trails around the village of Masca in the hope of finding the missing lad.
Members of Jay's family have travelled to Tenerife to help in the search including his dad Warren, 55, who has been putting up posters in Santiago de Teide.
Before he disappeared Jay was partying at the NRG music festival and his pals they said he was seen getting into a car with two Brit blokes he met on his night out.
The next morning Jay was tagged Snapchat pic at an Airbnb in Masca, which is understood to have been rented by the two men.
His best mate Brad Hargreaves told ITV he received a video call from him a short time later and said during the conversation Jay appeared to veer of a path and he heard his feet sliding on rough ground.
