Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal return 'a mere fairytale' after birthday snub'
EXCLUSIVE: The Royal Family were publically silent on Meghan Markle’s birthday yesterday (August 5) as one expert believes it shows a return to the Firm is off the cards
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s chances of making a shock return to the Royal Family have been dubbed a “fairytale” after the Duchess’ birthday was snubbed publicly.
The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 42nd birthday yesterday (August 4) but she was not given a birthday message on social media from members of the Royal Family.
Usually the accounts of run for King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as Kate Middleton and Prince William, post a message of well wishes with a photograph of the individual.
However, Meghan’s wish was noticeably absent this year as royal expert Eric Schiffer says the relationship between them is “in deep musk”.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Schiffer said: “The lack of any Royal family birthday wishes to Megan is evidence her relationship with the royals is in the deep muck.
“The Royal Family’s extreme emotional pain caused by the Sussex's’ is showing a lasting effect and suggests a possible return to the royal family is a mere fairytale.”
In previous years – even since the couple quit the Royal Family in 2020 – Meghan would still receive well wishes on her big day.
When the Sussexes first moved to America, the late Queen Elizabeth shared a post on the Royal Family's Instagram account captioned: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday."
The post also accompanied a photo of Meghan beside Her late Majesty during a royal visit.
Meghan and Harry's 'honeymoon period is over' as 'professional failures cause friction'
In 2021, members of the Firm also took to Twitter (now X) to share throwback pics of Meghan to celebrate her birthday.
Even last year, royals had photos of Meghan on their Instagram stories but this year was complete silence.
Harry and Meghan have continually sent shockwaves with numerous allegations against the Firm in an Oprah Winfrey interview and in the Duke’s book Spare.
Speaking to the Daily Star, royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes the lack of public acknowledgment shows that the Firm have “backbone”.
She said: “I think it shows the world that the King and Royal Family has a backbone.
"Harry and Meghan have been incredibly selfish and destructive over the last few years.
"It's understandable and likely highly advised by their PR experts to distance themselves from Harry and Meghan."
