Revolution Bars Group, which runs Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs venues across the UK, has announced that it is to appoint administrators, but is in talks over a possible sale

Revolution bars group, The Revel Collective, has revealed plans to bring in administrators. But the firm have assured that discussions regarding a potential sale are "well advanced".

The group, which also operates venues under the Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs brands, has filed a notice to appoint administrators "to protect creditors".

However, it confirmed ongoing talks about a possible sale and anticipates making another announcement "in the coming days". The company stated: "Since the transactions being contemplated are not expected to deliver any return to shareholders, the board has resolved to take action to protect creditors.

"Unless circumstances change, and in accordance with statutory requirements, the board intends to appoint administrators within 10 business days.

"The business will continue to trade and the company will continue to work alongside advisers in order to preserve as much value as possible for all stakeholders as it advances a potential sale of all or parts of the business," the group added.

Data reveals that 149 UK companies filed for administration in the final month of 2025, spanning retailers, manufacturers and regional employers. Companies House figures showed a surge in solvent businesses entering liquidation during the 2024-2025 tax year, reports the Express.

Several household names also teetered on the brink of going bust before rescue deals were struck. Claire's, Hobbycraft and WHSmith were all snapped up by Modella Capital, whilst Poundland barely dodged collapse after a rescue package got the green light just days before its funds were set to run out.
