David Morris was jailed for 32 years for the horrific murder of three generations of the same family and then trying to set the house on fire - but the house in now up for sale after a renovation

A family home where three generations were slaughtered by a crazed killer has gone up for sale – and its past is not being hidden.

Around 23 years ago, 34-year-old Mandy Power, her mum Doris, 80, and two young girls were found dead.

Mandy's daughters, Katie and Emily were just 10 and eight years old at the time.

Killer David Morris shockingly set the three-bedroom home in Clydach, Swansea, on fire, hoping to destroy evidence of the crime - but he failed.

He was jailed for a minimum of 32 years, but died of natural causes in 2021 aged 59.

And now the semi-detached property has chillingly been given a smart makeover and gone on the market for £175,000.

Local estate agent Perfect Pads makes no mention of the four murders on their website which states: “We have material information in relation to this property.”

A spokeswoman confirmed prospective buyers will be told what happened at the house in June 1999.

She said: "We took legal advice and have a responsibility to tell people."

The listing for the home calls it a “beautifully presented larger than average semi-detached property”.

It adds: “[It has] period features and having the benefit of modern living including LCD strip lighting, solar panels and offering a garden bar.

“Located in the popular village of Clydach the accommodation offers three double bedrooms, three spacious reception rooms, modern kitchen with ample wall and base units, downstairs cloakroom with utility space, a first floor bathroom with shower over the bath, a garden bar and home office, solar panels and a tiered garden with separate seating areas.”

Oddly, given its history, it claims the house “must be seen”.

The home also house a stunning period fireplace, as well as a log burner with wooden beam mantel piece.

It is not clear if the house has been lived in by whomever fixed it up, as there appears to be no personal items on show – other than a random bottle of Gaviscon indigestion liquid on a kitchen shelf - but it really does look immaculate and smart inside.

One bedroom seems to belong to a teenager, as it has a decent gaming set-up, complete with a massive television.

The bar area outside looks to be a fully kitted-out mini pub, complete with large television, mini fridge and barstool seating.

There is also a padded couched seating area on the other side.

Further into the garden is a huge pond, complete with canopy and a hot tub near it.

It is possible that the price has been affected by the murders, but if not, £175,000 appears to be incredibly cheap for the amount of house you'll end up getting – especially in the current housing market crisis.
