UK cities with cheapest pints revealed as pub-goers look to celebrate Beer Day Britain

The UK city selling the cheapest pints has been revealed as Brits head to the pubs to celebrate a special day.
New research complied by personal finance comparison site finder.com has worked out that Derby – the city famous for having the football team that holds the record for having the worst Premier League season in history – is the best place for beer lovers to get the cheapest pint.
Today (June 15), Brits are packing the pubs to celebrate Beer Day Britain, but the pubs in Derby are going to be your best value for money.
A pint there will cost you just £3, while coming in second on the list was Kingston upon Hull at £3.32 per pint.
Aberdeen, Sunderland and Stoke-on-Trent were third, fourth and fifth.
Pints in those cities will cost you £3.43 £3.50 and £3.56 respectively.
Londoners might want to travel somewhere else for their pints, as the country's capital city finished bottom of the list, selling pints for an average of an eye-watering £5.90.
York is second-bottom, but 80p less than London, at £5.10 per pint.
Belfast, Edinburgh and Brighton and Hove are also selling pints for more than £5, at £5.08, £5.05 and £5.02 respectively.
The average cost of a pint in the UK in 2023 is £4.21, which has increased by 1.6% from an average of £4.15 in 2022 and by just over 8% from the UK average of £3.89 in 2021.
